2023 Celebrating Excellence in Leadership Awards Announced

The 10th Celebrating Excellence in Leadership Awards honored 15 nominees and 7 award recipients. Each recipient was challenged to give a 5-word speech. 32 classes were represented at the event and the Class of 2020 had the most attendees. Visit the online photo album here. Businss: Don Miksch ’07, VP Wealth & Investment, Huntington National Bank presented by Dr. Dale Fortner ’01, Sandridge Crafted Foods. Don presented Feeding Medina County Executive Director, Katy Fuerst ’22, with a check at the event in celebration of his award.
Emerging Leadership: Dawn Blue ’23, Technical Content Assistant, Marketing, Wolff Brothers Supply, Inc. presented by Mike Toth, Westfield Bank. Dawn presented a check to the Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation in celebration of her award.
Education: Rachel Krauss ’17, Director of Student Services, Educational Service Center of Medina County presented by Dr. Rachel Howley, The University of Akron Medina. Rachel presented a check to Integrated Community Solutions in celebration of her award.
Health Care: Julie Fetto ’20, Chief Nursing Officer, Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital presented by Jennie Pettry, Hospice of the Western Reserve. Julie presented a check to Medina Cares in celebration of her award.
Public Service: Nathan Eppink ’22, Director, Medina County Park District AND Katy Fuerst ’22, Executive Director, Feeding Medina County presented by Ron Paydo ’00, Huntington National Bank and Jennifer Smigla ’20, Securitec One, Inc. Nate presented a check to Feeding Medina County and Katy to Maggie’s Mission in honor of their award.
Medina County: Amy Demlow ’01, Managing Partner, Critchfield, Critchfield and Johnston, Ltd. presented by Kevin New ’20, Dollar Bank and Jason Venner ’20, Clampco Products, Inc. Amy presented a check to OutSupport in celebration of her award.
