June 2018 e-Newsletter

Welcome to the Leading Edge Newsletter. Leadership Medina County has a lot of news to share this month. We hope you enjoy this update on alumni, opportunities to get involved, and welcome our incoming Signature Class.

Message from the Executive Director
It is a combination of the people and its history that makes Medina County unique. Leadership and volunteerism foster growth in communities. During Leadership Medina County, we embrace the local community, with its markets and libraries, historical societies, parks, and businesses.

The Class of 2018 discovered the beauty of Medina County and donated 827 hours through their class projects. According to the United Way Worldwide that’s a community investment of around $19,300 or $23.33 an hour. They opened the first Human Library in Medina County. They hosted the Longest Table of strangers ever to break bread together. They looked for solutions to Medina County’s transportation gaps, and they looked for ways to bring mentoring programs to all school districts in Medina County.  And they didn’t stop there! They have committed to volunteer 836 more hours next year. Congratulations to the Self-Driven Class and their drive to volunteer.
