’93  The Best

Barbara Dzur, City of Medina, is one of five people being inducted as part of the Inaugural class of the Highland Schools Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame on Friday October 6.  There is a reception, induction ceremony and then we are introduced at the Homecoming football game.

’05  The Ultimate

Tina Sabol, Medina County District Library, won the Library Journal’s 2017 Marketer of the Year Award for her marketing campaign for the levy.

’10 The Social Class

Mike Kovack, Medina County Auditor’s Office, has been appointed to the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) standing Committee on Economic Development and Capital Planning for a three year term by GFOA President Patrick McCoy.  Auditor Kovack has 27 years of experience working with local, county and state economic development officials throughout Ohio.  The GFOA is a world-wide association comprised of financial experts working in the public sector.

’15 The Bridge Builders Class

Melanie Kasten-Krause, SHC, The Arc of Medina County, will host the 3rd Annual  Boo Bash on Friday October 20th at SHC Camp Paradise (4283 Paradise Road, Seville, Ohio  44273) from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm.  Join SHC to celebrate Halloween in a fun, family- friendly event that is FREE for the community.  Come out to Camp Paradise which will be festively decorated for the occasion.  There will be a costume contest at 8:00pm, music DJ, haunted building, hay rides, trick or treat, Halloween games, 60” TV Raffle and much more!  There will be Food Trucks on site to purchase food and a 60” TV Raffle! ’17 The Collaborators

Stephanie Zingaro, Leadership Medina County, joined the board of First Impression in September along with Tara Haley of the Medina County Women’s Journal.

Greg Nichols, Akron Children’s Hospital, have been appointed the President of the board for Medina Cares in September 2017.
