Emerging Leaders Class of 2019

Tom Majkrzak EL ’19 started a new job at the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities as their Business Operations Supervisor.

 

LEAD Institute

Dan Holahan LEAD ’23 was recently promoted to the position of Manager of the Lodi Library.

Christy Wilmoth LEAD ’23 was the recipient of the Medina County Chamber Charities Nontraditional Scholarship from The 2023 Medina County Amazing Race.

 

’95 The Greatest Class

Sharon Ray ’95, State Representative, was the proud (and humbled) recipient of the Ohio Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers “Champion of the Year Award” on October 13th, 2023.

 

’01 The Synergetic

Kyle White ‘ 01, Community Development Educator for The Ohio State Extension in Medina County secured a $50,000 grant from Ohio State Energy Partners for education on Alternative Energy sources that includes adding solar panels to the Ohio State Extension building, which will supply electricity to that building. She will provide education to the community in 2024 on the lessons learned during the process of adding the solar panels. Additionally, she will record and document the solar energy usage, resulting electrical bills, data on other energy sources, and will be teaching STEM courses on energy to youth.

 

’10 The Social Class

Tina Gienger ’10, started a new position on October 9th with Ravago Chemicals North America as a Buyer.

 

’12 The Rain/Shine Class

Michelle Powell ’12, has returned to Let’s Make A Difference after retiring from her Executive Director role in 2021. The organization boasts a new mission statement from Michelle, “Our mission is to instill love, hope and confidence so that every child may thrive.” She is happy to be back, as the need for children to feel loved is greater now than ever.

 

’13 The Visionary Class

Susan Ungham ’13, gave a fantastic presentation in October about becoming a good ambassador for the library at the Northeast Ohio Regional Library System’s Staff Day.

 

’14 The Class On Fire

Maria Kipfstuhl ’14, was recognized as one of the 100 Elms Women of Distinction during the Our Lady of the Elms Centennial Celebration in October. Maria also got married on October 21st!

 

’15 The Bridge Builders Class

Rhonda Wurgler ’15, has accepted an appointment to the Advisory Board for the Women in Leadership Program at Ashland University.

 

’16 Silver Jubilee

Ryan Carlson ’16, was asked to be a panelist for the State of Ohio’s Recovery Within Reach Program on November 10th. He will be speaking on behalf of financial advisors on how they can play a role in recovery. Read more here.

Mark Priebe ’16, was awarded the Bright Star Award by the Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce, which demonstrates his dedication to helping serve and support the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance.

 

’22 The Phoenix Class

Nate Eppink ’22, will be honored at the prestigious 2023 Smart 50 Awards, hosted by Smart Business Network, on November 15th. The Smart 50 Awards recognizes the top executives of the 50 smartest companies in Northeast Ohio for their ability to effectively build and lead successful organizations. Nate is being awarded this honor because of his dedication and achievements since joining the Medina County Parks District!
