May Class Notes

’01  The Synergetic   

Amy Demlow ’01 was awarded the Excellence in Medina County Leadership Award at Leadership Medina County’s 10th Celebrating Excellence in Leadership awards.

                                                           

Kyle White ’01 has been re-certified as a CliftonStrengths Coach by the Gallup Organization.  Kyle is a Community Development Educator for Ohio State Extension.  As a CliftonStrength Coach she coaches individuals and conducts workshops for organizations and businesses focused on revitalizing and building understanding of CliftonStrengths.

 

’02  The Enlightened

Christine Beiling-Sheerer ’02 is set to retire in May!  Her last day is Tuesday, May 16.  There will be an open house celebration at the office from 4:30 to 7:30 that day.  Also, Christine and her husband are going to be grandparents for the first time at the end of May.

 

’07  The Inspired

Don Miksch ’07 was awarded the Excellence in Business Leadership Award at Leadership Medina County’s 10th Celebrating Excellence in Leadership awards.

Roger Wright ‘07 will be retiring after a 35-year career in education with the Wadsworth City Schools. During those wonderful years, he served the district as a Middle / High School Social Studies Teacher, Coach (Football, Basketball, Track), Asst. Principal at both the High School and Middle schools, Middle School Principal, and Director of the Four Cities Compact.  < Roger said he is thankful to the good people at LMC for providing such a fantastic experience to help him in all his leadership roles and wishes us all continued success.>

 

’10 The Social Class

Mike Kovack ‘10 retired as Medina County’s longest serving Auditor after 30 years in March.  Mike will ease into retirement slowly as he has accepted a position with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Stouffer Realty, will teach at the University of Akron and in Medina County Schools and will continue to serve as Chair of the Kovack Family Community Fund.

 

’16 Silver Jubilee

Zig Novak ’16 started ZJN Agency LLC at the beginning of 2023.  With over 35 years of industry experience, ZJN Agency LLC will help you with your health insurance plan options. They specialize in Employer Group Health from 1 to 50 employees, Medicare Insurance and Individual/Family plans.

 

’17 The Collaborators

Rachel Krauss ’17 was awarded the Excellence in Education Leadership Award at Leadership Medina County’s 10th Celebrating Excellence in Leadership awards.

 

‘19 The Difference Makers

Melissa Warner ’19 is excited to announce that she was engaged on March 26th to R.J. Peterson in Kauai.  Congratulations!

 

’20 In Focus Class

Julie Fetto ’20 was awarded the Excellence in Health Care Leadership Award at Leadership Medina County’s 10th Celebrating Excellence in Leadership awards.

 

’21 The Resilient Class

Jason Sanders ’21 & EL ’20, was recognized by the University of Akron School of Law with the Perantinides and Nolan Pro Bono Service Award, given to a graduating full-time and part-time student who completed the most community service hours. Jason, the part-time recipient, was recognized for completing 1,986 hours, more than his full-time counterpart and believed by Akron Law to be a record for part-time students.

 

’22 The Phoenix Class

Nathan Eppink ’22 was awarded the Excellence in Public Service Leadership Award at Leadership Medina County’s 10th Celebrating Excellence in Leadership awards.
