’93  The Best

Jani Groza, Westfield Insurance Foundation, has been named as a 2016 Medina County Women of Our Community Award Recipient and an ATHENA Leadership Award Nominee Finalist and will be recognized at The Medina County Women’s Journal Award Dinner Program on October 5, 2016.

 

’97  The Perfect

George (Hub) Marquis, Wallover Enterprises, Inc. was sold to Houghton International Inc. on 7/6/16.

Skip Sipos, Medina Metropolitan Housing Authority, and Debbie Kiley (’07) and are proud to share that daughter Gretchen Sipos married Chase Newton earlier this year; the couple married in June on Bald Head Island, NC, held their reception in July in Spencer, OH, and honeymooned in August. Gretchen teaches at Medina’s Garfield Elementary School, and Chase works for First Energy in Akron. The two Ohio State alums live in Medina.

 

’98  The Favorite

Cindie Schneider, HANDS Foundation, and husband Berndt welcomed granddaughter Clara Morgan Schneider, born August 4, to son and daughter-in-law Michael & Ashleigh Schneider and big brother Franklin Christopher Schneider.

 

’01  The Synergetic

Kyle White, joined the Ohio State University Office of Extension as a Community Educator in June.  In February she earned my real estate license and joined Pro Edge Realtors selling commercial and residential properties. She has been selected to be a member of the Rural Advisory Council for NOACA (Northeast Ohio Area wide Coordinating Agency) and is a board member for the Medina County District Library. Last by not least, she is the proud mom of a new member of the Emerging Leaders Class daughter is Kristian (Kristi) Schumacher.

 

’03  The Futurist

Valerie Rapp, Homestead Insurance Agency, has been named as a 2016 Medina County Women of Our Community Award Recipient and an ATHENA Leadership Award Nominee Finalist and will be recognized at The Medina County Women’s Journal Award Dinner Program on October 5, 2016.

 

’05  The Ultimate

Dianne DePasquale-Hagerty, Medina Creative Housing, on Saturday, October 15th Medina Creative Housing will be hosting the 2nd Annual Fall Fest at the MCH Life Skills Lodge (5200 Lake Road, Medina, OH 44256) from 12:00pm-4:00pm. The community is invited to attend this free event and enjoy festive, fall activities, including hay rides, a trick-or-treat trail, pumpkin painting, costume contest for children and adults, and so much more. Riders from Medina Creative Therapy Ranch will also be participating in a “Fun Show” where they will compete in games on horseback. Following Fall Fest, from 4:00-6:00 MCH will be holding a clam bake with proceeds benefiting Medina Creative Therapy Ranch. ’14 The Class On Fire

Lee Pickler, Baldwin Wallace University, climbed Mt. Fuji at the beginging of August with colleague Michael Jordon. He reached the summit where this picture was taken. The two sticks are called Fuji sticks and they are branded at each station along the climb. He climbed this mountain forty-nine years ago as well.

Kathryn Warner, First Impression, Inc. had its grand opening and ribbon cutting on August 12th. First Impression, Inc. provides business-appropriate attire for economically challenged or displaced women to help them make a positive first impression at job interviews. ’15 The Bridge Builders Class

Paula Majoros, Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities, on September 16,  TTx Teletronics will be hosting its Annual Golf Charity Outing at Shale Creek Golf Club in Medina, Ohio with this year’s proceeds to benefit the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD) Assistive Technology program. Assistive technology is vital for helping people with developmental disabilities in finding independence. It opens up opportunities for success by breaking down barriers in communication and physical environments. The funds generated at this event will allow the MCBDD to provide additional assistive technology resources which will help people with disabilities to increase their communication, self-reliance and employment skills which allows them to achieve greater independence in their daily lives. This event offers golfers the opportunity to experience one of northern Ohio’s award-winning golf courses while having the satisfaction of supporting a great cause. ’16 Silver Jubilee

Tob Coss, FASTSIGNS of Medina, in June, became President of the Medina Sunrise Rotary group for a term of one year (2016-2017).

 

’15 Emerging Leaders

Josh Price, HHL Group, Inc., got engaged to Amanda Kessel, also from Medina, on July 2nd, 2016. He proposed at a local family gathering at their house in Cleveland and surprised her with her entire side of the family attending the event, even some from Columbus. They plan to get married next year (2017) in either Columbus or Cleveland and recently started the long process of finding an appropriate venue to host the wedding! They are both excited to start their life together and couldn’t be happier.
