’99  The Dynamic

Joyce Giles, Superintendent of the Medina County Home, was recognized by Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation with the Leatherman Lifetime Achievement Award for service to seniors.

’10 The Social Class

Maureen Mizerak, Wadsworth YMCA Community Center, has been promoted to Group Vice President of the Akron Area YMCA. She remains Executive Director of the Wadsworth YMCA and will also be assuming more responsibilities for the Association.

’15 The Bridge Builders Class

Vicky Nann, Hay Mountain Marketing, LLC, on April 29 was elected Program Quality Director, the second highest ranking director in Toastmasters International District 10 (Northeastern Ohio). District 10 has about 2,000 members in about 100 clubs. Her term begins July 1. Toastmasters International is the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to communication and leadership skill development.


Melanie Kasten-Krause, SHC/The Arc of Medina, will be hosting an Evening in Paradise on July 20th from 6pm-10pm at The Oaks Lakeside Restaurant, 5878 Longacre Lane Chippewa Lake, OH 44215 with live music by the Swizzle Stick Band. Reservations are only $50 per person and include dinner and entertainment. They will also be hosting their 5th Annual Golf Outing on August 7 at Medina Country Club. $135 registration includes golf, games, lunch, dinner and a whole lot of fun. Registration starts at 10am with a shotgun start at 11am. ’17 The Collaborators

Sandy Hinkle, Feeding Medina County, was recognized by Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation with the Senior Advocate Award.


Jody Wheaton, Cuyahoga Community College, Brunswick University Center, was selected to be a board member of the Medina County Community Fund.

’14 Spring Emerging Leaders

John Stanko, Sandridge Food Corporation, married his fiancé of a year and a half, Mollie, on April 22, 2017.
