Identity Theft, Data Breaches, and Scams – In-person or Virtual Class
In person or Virtual Class: Do you have concerns about identity theft and scams? Community Development from the Ohio State University Office of Extension invites you to an evening that could save you stress and money. Our speaker is Assistant Prosecuting Attorney – Civil Division, Thomas Condosta. Mr. Condosta started and is the Director of the Medina County Scam Squad. His knowledge is well known and his counsel is widely sought in cases of identity theft and fraud throughout the State of Ohio. The evening will educate with plenty of time for you to ask your questions. Mr. Condosta will provide examples of scams that have occurred –including some in Medina County and will share tips to protect you and your loved ones. Business Owners: Mr. Condosta will address issues directly related to businesses including “whitewashing”, a method used to redirect checks.
Class date is April 9 and the time is 5:30 PM to 7PM. You can attend in person or remotely.
For those who participate remotely a link to the session will be provided through your registration.
The in-person class will be held at the Ohio State University Office of Extension located at 4046 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256.
The cost is $5.00. None of the funds from this class will be directed to the Office of the Medina County Prosecutor or the Medina County Board of Commissioners as honorariums are prohibited under the Ohio Revised Code.
