Board Member Position Opening: Treasurer, Medina County Arts Council
The Medina County Arts Council (MCAC) — a nonprofit dedicated to “Advocating for, supporting, and nurturing the arts in Medina County” — is seeking a dedicated volunteer to serve as Treasurer on our Board of Directors.
About the Role:
The Treasurer plays a vital part in ensuring the financial health and transparency of the organization. This position works closely with the Board to manage financial records, oversee reporting, and support MCAC’s mission through sound fiscal stewardship.
Ideal Candidate:
While an accounting or financial background is strongly preferred, we welcome all candidates who are organized, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting the arts. Experience beyond basic bookkeeping — such as budgeting, financial analysis, or nonprofit finance — is a plus.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Preparing monthly financial reports for the Board
- Assisting with annual budget development
- Overseeing banking, reconciliation, and expense tracking
- Ensuring compliance with nonprofit financial standards
- Supporting grant reporting and audit preparation as needed
Requirements:
- Must reside in Medina County
- Commitment to attend board meetings and participate in MCAC activities
- Enthusiasm for the arts and community engagement
