LEAD Institute March Class Day: Building Stronger Teams Through Trust and Conflict
This month, the LEAD Institute Class gathered at Cornerstone Chapel’s beautiful Next Gen Room for an energizing and insightful session on The Five Behaviors of a Team by Patrick Lencioni. Led by returning trainers and valued friends of the program, Judy Bodenhamer and Perry Recchio, participants explored the core elements of high-performing teams: Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability, and Results.
Diving into different approaches to conflict—Spirited and Calm Debaters versus Receptive and Steadfast Communicators—the class engaged in thought-provoking discussions and exercises that highlighted the importance of productive tension and open dialogue in leadership.
The day continued with our Your Leadership Edge Module, where Terri guided us through “Intervening Skillfully and Acting Experimentally” in the workplace. Participants gained practical tools to navigate challenges with confidence and adaptability, reinforcing their leadership growth.
Of course, no class day is complete without a great meal! We enjoyed another delicious lunch from Eclectic Edibles, adding the perfect touch to a day filled with learning and connection.
With each session, our LEAD Institute participants continue to embrace new insights, challenge themselves, and refine their leadership skills. We can’t wait to see how they apply these lessons in their workplaces and communities!
