Signature Class of 1992, The Charter Class

Chet Simmons ’92, was recently appointed to Medina Ward 1 City Council. Simmons is now also a Board member of Medina County Friends of the Parks.

 

Signature Class of 2008, That Class

Thomas Sigel ‘08, shares: Now in its 15th year of making music, arts and culture accessible to all, with a focus on underserved, disadvantaged and rural populations, Sigel, Executive Director of Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) is looking for individuals who are passionate about the arts to serve on the Board of Directors and also to volunteer.

Signature Class of 2015, The Bridge Builders Class

Kimberly Marshall ’15, City of Medina Economic Development Director will begin 2025 in a familiar role.  She has been re-elected to a second two-year term on the Ohio Economic Development Association Board of Directors and will continue in the role of Board Secretary. She serves in the capacity of Area Director for Northeast Ohio. David Zak, President and CEO of the Ohio Economic Development Association, recognized the returning members of the Board of Directors, saying, ”Their expertise and dedication provide valuable leadership and continuity to the organization.”
As one of the state’s premier associations for economic and community development, OEDA is comprised of nearly 500 economic development professionals from state, local, and regional economic development organizations from all across Ohio. OEDA is the voice and advocate for economic development issues, and is responsible for shaping the future of economic development in Ohio. The organization is currently focusing on the following priorities: infrastructure development, workforce development, affordable and reliable energy, a simple and equitable tax structure, and support for existing businesses.

Locally, Mrs. Marshall serves locally as Chair for the City Economic Development Committee, the Medina Energy Special Improvement District (ESID), and the Medina City Development Corporation.  She also sits on the Board of Directors for Main Street Medina and the Medina County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Marshall is one of the original founders of Made in Medina County.

LEAD Institute Class of 2025

Hannah Wasylko LEAD ’25, with Baskets Galore is excited to announce that we have been chosen to be highlighted by “Local in the Land” on March 30th before a Cleveland Cavaliers game (on the floor). This is a partnership the Cavaliers have with UPS. We were nominated by our UPS providers as a small woman-owned family operated business that ships hundred (sometimes, thousands) of gifts a week. We couldn’t be more excited to have one last “hoorah” with Baskets Galore before out complete rebrand this summer.
