LMC announces Emerging Leaders Class of 2020
Leadership Medina County is proud to announce the Emerging Leaders Class of 2020, our 8th class of aspiring leaders. The new class kicked off their opening retreat on September 12 at the Medina County Career Center (MCCC) where they heard from class of 2012 Signature graduate, Leadership Medina County Board Vice-President, and Superintendent of the Medina County Career Center, Steve Chrisman. The class was also able to hear some words of advice and personal experience from Class of 2018 Emerging Leaders graduate, Megan Millikin, Assistant Superintendent of the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center. Megan is also a member of this year’s Signature Class of 2020.
The class was thrown to the wolves, or woods rather, as a trial by Leadership fire, in the form of the famed MCCC Ropes Course led by Dale Versteegen, a 20-year professional leading recreational programs that focus on team development. Participants bonded over dirt, sweat and physical challenges to sharpen their leadership and team building skills.
