About the Workshop
Come ready to think and solve problems! Join us for this one-of a-kind leadership workshop on Problem Solving & Critical Thinking Skills taught by Dr. Edwin Meyer of Baldwin Wallace University! His presentation will start with a definition of problem solving including understanding the brain and how this key skill is developed. Dr. Meyer will introduce us to some key problem-solving strategies and present us with a few interactive examples in this workshop to challenge us to solve some problems.
About the Instructor
After finishing graduate school, Ed accepted a job with Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI). His main job was problem solver. About five years after he started with the company, he was trained to be a recruiter. His experiences at ICI as a scientist and a recruiter convinced him that the best way he could contribute to humanity was as an educator teaching problem solving skills. After eleven years at ICI, he became a professor of physics at Baldwin Wallace University in 2000. In 2002, Baldwin Wallace became the first University on the planet to offer for-credit courses in problem solving.
