BRUNSWICK, OH (July 24, 2018) — Philpott Solutions Group CEO, Jim Vaughn, announced today that Ron Stayer has been promoted to lead the operations at the company’s Philpott Rubber & Plastics subsidiary.  “As Director of Operations, Ron will play a key role in guiding our manufacturing business expansion.”  Stayer joined Philpott in 2013 as a technical market specialist.    Stayer indicated, “I am looking forward to working with our manufacturing and support teams to ensure that we provide products and services consistent with our customers’ expectations.”  He went on to say, “I believe deeply that if adherence to the highest quality and a sincere safety culture are true cornerstones of a manufacturing operation, success follows.  Stayer was extremely positive about the business culture Dr. Vaughn is infusing into Philpott.  Stayer remarked, “Jim’s ability to motivate people to excel, which comes from his unique understanding and genuine enjoyment of business, has already made a positive impact on our business and will greatly assist me in achieving our challenging goals.”

Prior to joining Philpott, Stayer managed a large manufacturing operation in northeast Ohio that built machinery used in the rubber tire production industry.  Vaughn said that, “This move places Ron, who has proven to be a highly-dedicated leader, in a position that will make the best and highest use of his experience and background.  We are confident that Ron’s dedication, experience and leadership skills will benefit our customers and employees alike.”

Dr. Vaughn, who was elected President and Chief Executive Officer by the Philpott shareholders on June 7th, is only the 7th president in the Company’s 129-year history.  “Philpott has great customers whose satisfaction is the primary focus of every Philpott employee.” Vaughn commented.  “We continue our initiative to reshore our manufacturing back from China.  At the same time, we are maintaining or focus on organic growth of our existing USA-based business.  These two activities will result in job creation of new positions, and provide opportunities for career advancement for our valued-existing employees!”

Mr. Stayer lives with his wife, Becky, in Navarre, OH, with their son, Josh.  He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Business Administration from the University of Akron.
