LEAD Institute April Class: Building Our Leadership Toolkit

The LEAD Institute Class of 2025 gathered at Medina County Veterans Memorial Hall for a jam-packed day of leadership growth, skill-building, and meaningful connections.

We kicked off the morning with a warm welcome and housekeeping items before diving into conflict resolution and negotiation, expertly led by our friend Kathy Sullivan with Talent Principles. Her session offered practical strategies for navigating difficult workplace conversations—tools every leader needs in their toolkit.

After a brief (and delicious) break courtesy of Chick-Fil-A Medina, Kathy continued her workshop, encouraging participants to lean into discomfort and communicate with clarity and confidence.

Lunch, graciously sponsored by Automation Tool & Die, gave everyone a chance to refuel and reconnect before our afternoon lineup. Thank you to Eclectic Edibles for always delivering delicious options to refuel our leaders!

Terri led us through a dynamic Your Leading Edge session on how to intervene skillfully and raise the heat—an eye-opening look at how leaders can nudge teams through adaptive challenges without tipping the balance.

The afternoon continued with our new friend Lisa Lebowitz with Potentialize LLC, who brought the energy and insight to two critical areas: creating your professional brand and mastering networking skills. Lisa’s sessions helped participants reflect on their personal leadership image and offered real-world tips for making meaningful professional connections.

We wrapped up the day by meeting with our Progress Partners, checking in on our growth, and getting excited for what’s next… which is their Closing Retreat and Graduation! We cannot believe how quickly this year has gone by, and can’t wait to see the amazing change that these leaders make in our community.
