Self-Advocacy, Self-Awareness, and the Importance of Career Intention

You can cultivate leadership skills but what do you do once you have them; how can you purposely use those skills to move ahead in your career? This workshop explores how you build your professional “brand” and credibility in your work environment, how to advocate for yourself for important situations like inclusion in key projects and promotions, and how to position yourself for career advancement.  You will leave with the strategy you need to position yourself, as well as the roadmap to get there.

Define and explore the role and usage of self-awareness in your career, understanding the key components of self-advocacy, where and when to self advocate, and how to apply those skills to your career path.
