The Medina County Community Foundation is proud to partner with us for this year’s two-part Nonprofit Board Training Series. These sessions are designed to equip nonprofit board members with essential knowledge and tools to enhance their impact and effectiveness. These events are open to the public.

Jon Park

Corporate Director, Business Advisor, retired Chairman and CEO of Westfield Bank

Jon is passionate about helping businesses grow revenue, optimize talent, perpetuate leadership, improve profitability and create shareholder value.   Jon is currently a director on 4 corporate boards, 2 private equity advisory boards and two community organizations.  Jon was Westfield Bank’s founding CEO from 2000 through his retirement in 2023 where he developed and guided Westfield Bank’s strategies that took the Company from a start-up to $2.1 billion in assets becoming Ohio’s 10th largest of 172 community banks.

Jon has served as a director of 7 privately owned companies, 3 private equity investment funds, 3 employee-owned corporations (ESOPs) and 11 non-profit organizations including roles as the Board and Finance Committee Chairman.

Cathy Posner

Coach, speaker, trainer, and author

Cathy founded Transition Consulting and Coaching in 2007. Through Transition Consulting and Coaching, Cathy provides career coaching to individuals, organizational development assistance, HR support, and nonprofit consulting services. She also works as a Specialized Training Consultant with the Medina County Career Center Adult Education department. Cathy previously worked as a contract Senior Coach with CareerCurve, providing outplacement and transition support to candidates, and in leadership positions with a number of organizations. Cathy is active with many organizations in her community. She is immediate past President of the board of Feeding Medina County and is part of the leadership team for 100+ Women Who Care Medina, a philanthropic giving circle. Cathy been honored as a Women of Professional Excellence through Women’s Network of Northeast Ohio, as a 2018 Women of Our Community award recipient, and is an Athena Leadership Award winner. Cathy lives in Medina, Ohio, with her husband, Mason, and daughter, Lucinda, who is at University of Pittsburgh most of the time but home occasionally.

Cathy especially enjoys helping individuals and organizations connect with the things they are good at, and supporting each to develop those gifts.
