It’s almost March and besides St. Patrick’s Day festivities, Food for Fines is not far from finding the pot of gold!  The entire month of March, Medina County District Library will accept food items for Feeding Medina County to forgive library fines.


You may have heard that MCDL went Fine Free in 2020. But members may have fines carry over from previous years. This is an opportunity to pay off old fines with food donations and start 2020 with a truly clean slate!


Donate one of the following items to forgive fines on one overdue library item:


Accepted Items:

Squeezable Jelly (20 oz.)

Peanut butter (1 lb. or less)

Pudding Cups

Fruit Cups

Chicken noodle or tomato soup (10.5 oz. cans)

Tuna (5-7 oz. cans)

Macaroni and cheese (boxes or cups)

Graham crackers

Healthy cereal (10-12 oz. boxes)


Do not include opened or expired items or glass bottles/jars.

Only items listed with eliminate overdue fines.

Donations will not eliminate lost/damaged item or collection agency fees.


Food donations for Feeding Medina County are welcome at the library even if you don’t have fines.
