The Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities Donated Funds Committee is once again offering area high school seniors a chance to receive scholarship monies. This year the MCBDD Donor Scholarship will award one (1) $1500.00 scholarship. The Donated Funds Committee raises these funds through a series of events and activities throughout the year as well as through corporate and private donations. Applicants must be a current high school senior and have been accepted into an accredited training program in a field which may provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities. (i.e. special education, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social work, behavioral sciences, etc.). Applicants must also demonstrate involvement in, or providing services to, individuals with developmental disabilities through activities such as Special Olympics, volunteering, job shadowing, etc.
Interested students must complete and submit a Donor Scholarship application form before Tuesday, April 30, 2019, to be considered. Forms are available by calling 330-725-7751 ext. 318 or at www.mcbdd.org.
